A little about usWe're very proud to have been the first cat-only veterinary practice in the UK. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, we've been caring for cats and kittens throughout the Lothian area since 1995. We have opened our online appointment booking for nail trim appointments and repeat prescription requests. These are only available for current clients of the clinic.
For any in clinic appointments other than a nail trim, please call the clinic on 0131 466 7110. Repeat medication requests continue to be available via the online booking system for returning customers. If you are not currently registered with the clinic, please contact our reception team on 0131 4667110 to organise registration and any appointments you may then need. You are now able to request online:
- Nail trim appointments - Repeat prescription medication you can use this option to order ongoing medication for your cat. The clinic vets will assess and authorise these requests on a case by case basis. Please select the FIRST available 'appointment' time. TYPICALLY PRESCRIPTIONS WILL BE READY TO COLLECT 48 HOURS AFTER they have been requested. Repeat Prescription requests: You are now able to request ongoing medications via the online booking system. In order to allow this you will need to select an 'appointment time' - please choose the first date/time available and let us know which medications you need and how many of each in the 'reason for appointment' box. This will notify the clinic of your request immediately and allow us to begin processing it - this is NOT the time that your prescription will be ready to collect. AS EVER PLEASE ALLOW 48 HOURS for us to organise your medications, some of these may need to be ordered in. We will only contact you if there are any problems with your request. Otherwise the prescription will be readied for collection by 48 hours after the request. Visiting usOften just getting your cat into a carrier feels like a huge challenge! This useful video shows a number of different techniques to help with this. It's worth rememebering that any time and effort put into geting your cat used to it's carrier on a day to day basis will pay dividends - if you've got the space, tie open the door and allow your cat to use it as a bed.

Our services* NEW * NURSE CONSULTATIONS AT THE CAT CLINIC
Did you know that as well as providing skilled, supportive care for patients our Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) are also qualified to perform full physical exams, undertake minor surgery, monitor anaesthesia, and administer medical treatment and diagnostic tests under veterinary supervision? With this huge skill set in mind, we have decided to take our first steps into Nurse Consultations in the Cat Clinic! RVN Sam and Luci are so excited to welcome you! Initially these appointments will cover: 2nd vaccinations Nail trims Repeat Solensia injections Blood pressure monitoring Flea and worm treatment administration Basic weight checks and nutrition advice During it’s early phase, these consultations will run on a Monday afternoon with hopes to increase the availability of these appointments soon. These consultations will be OPEN from 6th May 2024 Please call us on 0131 466 7110 or email enquiries@catclinic.co.uk to book. Our online booking portal is currently unavailable for nurse consults but we hope to have this up and running VERY soon! Extra bits to be made aware of: - Our Nurse Consultations offer invaluable time with caring and experienced nursing team and as such are chargeable. - Bear in mind that our RVNs are not allowed to diagnose medical conditions so if you have health concerns about your cat, an appointment with one of our vets is more appropriate. Update on Lothian Bus Service in area A number of changes to the Lothian network will be introduced to improve reliability and connectivity across Edinburgh and the Lothians. - Service 41 is being withdrawn - New Service 9 will replace the section of Service 41 between the city centre and King’s Buildings, which covers The Cat Clinic, Blackford Avenue - Service 24 will continue to stop outside the clinic, with a revised timetable.
